With a successful restructuring, the former Sembawang-Nee Soon Town Council was renamed as Sembawang Town Council with effect from 1st April 2013.

Sembawang Town Council now manages the HDB estates in five divisions – Admiralty, Marsiling, Sembawang, Woodlands and Woodgrove – in Sembawang GRC..

More exciting plans are in store for Sembawang Town. Work has commenced on the Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL) with the official groundbreaking ceremony held in June. Three new stations will be added to Woodlands, in line with plans to transform our town into the Northern regional hub.
